A Tournament With Heart
The Bob Rizi Memorial Golf Classic teed off
Friday, June 12th, at IMG Academy Golf Club
as part of the annual Suncoast Summer Fest. This iconic tournament is held in loving memory of Bob Rizi, a long-time board member of Suncoast Charities for Children and a strong supporter of special needs children, teens, and adults.
It was a day of friendly competition on the green, but the real winners are the local families who depend on the programs this event helps fund. Registration included lunch, a goodie bag for each player, two golf carts per foursome, a tee sign, and a post-tournament reception — a full day of camaraderie for a cause that matters.
Why This Cause Matters to Us
Suncoast Charities for Children does extraordinary work close to home. The organization provides financial support to local non-profits offering critical programs and services to children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families throughout the Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and Charlotte County areas. These are our neighbors, and the therapies and services funded through events like this one — speech, occupational, physical, and aquatic therapy among them — change lives every day.
The impact is real and measurable. In a recent year, Suncoast Summer Fest raised $154,000 for Suncoast Charities for Children. Every foursome, every tee sign, and every sponsor adds up to meaningful support during the slower summer months when fundraising is most needed.

As a locally owned, family-run company led by owners Skip and Chuck, we live and work in the same neighborhoods we serve.
